FAQs

We are Harrow Bike Club. We aim to create an environment during our sessions which is friendly, secure, encouraging and challenging. We welcome riders from all different abilities, backgrounds and genders. We offer a wide range of sessions from riding for pleasure to learning how to race and compete at the highest level. Our sessions run at Kenton Recreation Ground, Harrow HA3 8AX, and we very much look forward to seeing you down at the track!

  • Do I need to pre-book a session?
We prefer you to book to ensure we have all the required equipment and space for our riders. To book, use the link on the home page and complete the form. Payment details are at the bottom of the form. If you decide last minute to attend a session, do pop down the track. Payment and registration will need to be completed before the start of the session, but there is a chance that places maybe limited.
  • What do I need to bring?
Lots of energy and enthusiasm. We can provide riders with bikes, helmets and protective pads. It is strongly recommended that riders have their arms, legs and hands clothed. If you would like to use your own equipment, our coaches will check if they are suitable for the track.
  • How do I get to the Pump track?
Location: Kenton Recreation Ground Bike Pump Track. Official address on Google maps: 39A Carlton Ave, Harrow HA3 8AX Please park in the car park at the address above, then walk from the car park, keeping left, walk past the outdoor gym. Riders need to be 4 years of age and be able to balance on a bike.
  • How will I know which session to attend?
If it is your first time attending a session at Harrow and you do not have a riding licence, we advise you sign up for the beginners’ session. We will move you to intermediate when we feel it is safe to do so.
  • How many riders can join each session?
At the moment we can only accommodate 16 riders for each session. This is to ensure that the track does not get too crowded and everyone stays safe. To avoid disappointment, book your sessions early. We will put out messages when sessions are full.
  • Does a parent or carer need to stay by the track for the sessions?
It is advised that riders are accompanied by their guardians for the duration of the session.
